You came into my life so carefree and wild
Long wavy hair and that wonderful smile
Your bangles jingled against your wrist
My heart missed a beat the moment we kissed

Full of fun with a spirit so free
For some strange reason you decided to choose me
Time and again with that look in your eyes
You manage to spring yet another surprise

As time goes on we change with age,
Youthful exuberance moves to a different stage
Tribulations and trials of life weigh heavy,
We're not so brave and a little unsteady

Chains of responsibility curb desire,
And try to douse that internal fire
Health brings it toll, the body reacts,
We have little control, that's a matter of fact

But through it all our memories are strong
Whatever we've done is both right and wrong
We get out of life what we put in it
So always hang on to your true free spirit.
